When formalizing its presence in Indonesia, Google also announced the appointment of Rudy Ramawy as Country Head of Indonesia on Friday, March 30, 2012 in Jakarta.
"Talks with Google long enough, about a year. But officially I began to enter Indonesia on the Google team in January 2012. Today, I formally served as Country Head," explains Rudy told a news conference on Cyber 2 Building, Jakarta.
Rudy Ramawy Google will lead Indonesia to get closer to users, partners, and stakeholders in Indonesia.
About Rudy Ramawy
Rudy received a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He began his career at Procter and Gamble in 1994.
In 1997, Rudy became Director of Sales and Marketing at Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia. In 1999, he was recruited as Managing Director for Warner Music Malaysia based in Kuala Lumpur.
Rudy returned to Indonesia in 2003 and rejoined with Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia as President Director and as Regional Marketing Director for Southeast Asia.
In 2005, Rudy joined Nantrindo Phones (owner of the mobile operator Axis) as Director and Chief Marketing Officer.
Prior to joining Google, Rudy served as Director of Programming and Production RCTI.
