Israel protest against U.S.

Israel will not approve a claim the United States (U.S.) to freeze all settlement activity in the West Bank. Disclosed so that a minister close to the PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Sunday may 31,2009.

"I want to say emphatically that the current government of Israel will not agree to any settlement activity means that the legal and Samaria in JUDEA frozen," said Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz, refer to the West Bank. "The government will maintain the vital interests of the state of Israel," he told Israel army radio.


This is the first reaction from the high officials of Israel to appeal to U.S. President Barack Obama, Thursday, in a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that Israel stop settlement activity, which is the major role in the Middle East peace negotiations.

Although the international community considers all Israeli settlements are illegal, Israel distinguish settlements-settlements that allowed the government's so-called post-post front line of the wild that was built by the settlers.

Netanyahu says government will dismantle the post-post future, but stressed the expansion blocks of settlements that will be allowed to proceed.
